Latest News

The Harlem Globetrotter Ambassadors are coming to Albion! This family-friendly comedy basketball game will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Albion Community School Gym starting at 7 PM.

Winners of the Festival of the Forks 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament (youth, teen, and adult teams) will comprise the first nine players of the Albion local team playing with the Globetrotters that evening. The Chamber is currently seeking additional individuals to join our 20 member team. Call the Chamber of Commerce for more information about the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and/or for more information about joining the Albion team playing the Globetrotters.

This is a fundraising event benefiting the local community and the Albion Public Schools. During the basketball game, APS will be selling concessions and the Globetrotters will be selling memorabilia. Be sure to bring your wallet and an empty stomach -- 10% of memorabilia sales will be given to the school and all concession stand sales will benefit the school.

Tickets will become available soon. Each ticket will cost $10 and will be available for sale at the Chamber of Commerce (310 S. Superior). This is a limited seating event: tickets will go fast. If you want to be placed on a waiting list for tickets, call the Chamber with your name, number of tickets you wish to purchase, and a telephone number where we can call you back once tickets are available.

The Chamber looks forward to you joining us at Festival of the Forks September 19-20, 2014 in downtown Albion and again on October 23, 2014 at the Albion Community School Gym!

Albion Community School together with summer school, educational programs, and staying healthy options served over 175 students free breakfast and lunch over the summer months. I would like to thank the community and everyone who helped make this happen. I am hoping next year to reach out to even more communities and help those families that are truly in need.

Thank you

Damian Andrews, Albion Community Schools Food Service Director
